Top italian wines regions

Which are the best Italian wines? This is a difficult question: Italy has a complicated geography with many micro-climates that produce very different qualities. Wines from the same D.O.Cs (denominazione di origine controllata) are sometimes excelent and sometimes really poor.
Italian wines are fashionable and the classical Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, etc. use to be expensive, so I recommend you to explore some vineyards from other regions... maybe they surprise you.
And don't forget to vote and comment your favorites wines regions of Italy.
